Appointment Scheduling:
Please call our office during regular business hours to schedule appointments.
If you require urgent care, we will do our best to accommodate you on the same day.

Patients are encouraged to utilize our online appointment booking system for convenience and efficiency. Appointments can be scheduled through our website.

Reminder Emails:

To assist patients in keeping track of their appointments, reminder emails will be automatically sent 48 hours and 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. It is the responsibility of the patient to ensure that their contact information, including email address, is up to date in our system to receive these reminders.

Updating Contact Information:

Patients are required to promptly update their contact information, including email addresses, to ensure the receipt of appointment reminders and important communications from our office. Failure to maintain accurate contact information may result in missed appointments or delays in receiving important notifications.

Arrival Time:
To maintain our schedule and minimize wait times for all patients, we kindly request that you arrive on time for your appointment.
If you anticipate needing extra time for your appointment, please inform the receptionist when scheduling so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Late Arrivals:
If you arrive late for your appointment, we may need to reschedule your visit to ensure that other patients are not inconvenienced.
If you know you will be late, please contact our office as soon as possible to let us know.

Arrival more than 5 minutes after the scheduled time, you will be charged $40 for late arrival and your appointment will be rescheduled.

Cancellations and Rescheduling:
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the appointment slot to another patient who may be in need of care.
Failure to provide sufficient notice for cancellations or rescheduling may result in a missed appointment fee of $40.

Emergency Situations:
We understand that emergencies can happen unexpectedly. If you have a medical emergency, please call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room.
In the event of unforeseen emergencies within our office, such as medical emergencies or technical difficulties, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the situation promptly.

Waiting Room Etiquette:
While we strive to keep wait times to a minimum, there may be occasions when you need to wait before being seen by a provider.
We kindly ask for your cooperation in maintaining a quiet and respectful environment in the waiting room, keeping conversations at a moderate volume, and refraining from the use of mobile devices at a loud volume.

Feedback and Concerns:
Your feedback is important to us. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions regarding our scheduling or appointment policies, please feel free to discuss them with Dr. Beshay.

We are committed to continually improving our services based on your input.

Zero Tolerance Policy:

Our family medicine office maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any form of unacceptable behavior, including but not limited to verbal abuse, physical violence, harassment, discrimination, or any actions that compromise the safety, well-being, or dignity of our staff or patients. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in immediate dismissal from our practice.

After Hours and Urgent Care Protocol:

We prioritize your continuity of care and urge you to refrain from visiting other walk-in clinics whenever possible. These clinics lack your complete medical history and do not forward reports to our office, potentially compromising your care.

Dr. Beshay has allocated additional same day slots to ensure you have access to timely care. These slots are designed to provide urgent assistance to emergency cases.

Note: Opting for a walk-in clinic instead of utilizing after-hours care provided by our clinic may result in notification to your physician by the Ministry of Health, and your access to after-hours care within the clinic may be affected.

To access after hours clinic , please call our Telephone Health Advisory Service at 1-866-553-7205. A registered nurse will triage your concern and will direct you to the After Hours Clinic if indicated.

Emergency Situations: For severe medical concerns such as chest pain or suspected stroke, please promptly dial 911 or proceed to the nearest Emergency Department.

Uninsured Services

Some services are not covered by OHIP. The payment for these is patient's responsibility .  Kindly review the list of uninsured services available at the front reception or inquire with your physician.

These policies are in place to ensure a safe and efficient environment for both our staff and patients. We appreciate your cooperation and adherence to these policies.
